24X30 oil on canvas

Many years ago, while we were breeding and raising foals, there was one little buckskin filly who stood out from the rest. She had big, sweet eyes, and I have countless photos of her standing in this exact pose because the moment she heard or saw a person, she would turn and look back, hoping someone was coming to give her rump scratches. 😂

She left for her new out-of-state home as a long weanling.  This painting is my imagination filling in the years—a glimpse of who she might have become.
