Through my art and storytelling, I express a deep love for nature and its awe-inspiring beauty. Rooted in the traditions of Western art, my work captures the spirit of horses, cattle, and the landscapes they call home—creating soulful, symbolic pieces that explore connection, presence, and spirit.

Peaceful Horizons - CAPTURING peace, connection, and harmony

Peaceful Horizon - Selected to be in ATH 101 Art Book: Landscape Edition! 🌿🎨 A beautifully curated hardcover coffee table book. NOW Available at Barnes & Noble and on Amazon.

Many of my original paintings, including equine artwork, reflect the beauty I find close to home and the quiet drives where I soak up nature’s scenery. My hope is that these scenes bring you the same calm they bring me. 💛💛

LOVE ON THE HORIZON

For many years, we were fortunate to raise exceptional foals. During that time, I had the privilege of quietly witnessing the deep bond between mare and foal—something both powerful and tender. There is a profound kind of love in a broodmare’s care. The way she nurtures, protects, and remains fully present with her foal is both instinctive and deeply moving. It’s a connection that goes beyond words—one built on trust, warmth, and quiet understanding.

This painting is inspired by those moments. The stillness, the closeness, and the gentle exchange between mother and foal reflect a relationship that is as beautiful as it is essential.

Shared Horizon

The barn stands quietly behind them, worn by time and full of memory.

Two cows stand, grazing and watching the open land, while one rests in the grass—completely at ease. Together, they hold a quiet balance of movement and stillness.

There’s no urgency here. Just the comfort of being near one another beneath the same wide sky.

There’s a quiet understanding between them.

SHELTERED HORIZON

I’ve watched horses seek out places like this—quiet shade, soft grass, a moment to just be. There’s a rhythm to it, simple and true.

Sun on his back, earth beneath his feet, he rests in that balance I’ve come to love so much.

In these quiet moments, I’m reminded how little they need—and how much they give.

GRAZING AT DUSK

Everything slows down here. The world feels still, and for a moment, you feel the peace—a gentle reminder that the simplest, most serene moments often hold the deepest meaning.

The Women With Horses series celebrates the empowering bond between women and these magnificent animals through stunning equine artwork—an intimate connection that embodies trust, strength, grace, and freedom. Ultimately, my goal is to honor the enduring bond between horses and humans and to reflect the timeless beauty they bring into our lives through original paintings.

Women With Horses

CIRCLE OF TRUST

Inspired by a quiet moment between my daughter, one of our foals, and our dog, this painting reflects the gentle trust and connection that can exist between humans and animals.

In these simple, peaceful interactions, I’m reminded how little is needed to feel a true sense of belonging.

Serenity - selected to be published in ATH magazine #10

Every cowgirl needs a little serenity. Have you ever experienced the profound tranquility that comes from being in the presence of a horse? It's a feeling that compels you to lean into them as all else fades away. This brings to mind a quote often attributed to Winston Churchill: "There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man." I feel this every time I’m with my horses, and in fact, many years ago, while grappling with grief, it was a horse that inspired me to start living again. This moment of connection is something I strive to capture in my equine artwork, especially in paintings like this acrylic piece measuring 22x28, beautifully framed.

Whoa

Aww… that powerful sliding stop of a reined cow horse—a moment full of energy, trust, and connection after so much hard work and dedication. In my equine artwork, I carefully layer each detail to honor the heart of that perfect stop between a horse and cowgirl team. This piece, a stunning example of horse paintings, captures the essence of their bond beautifully. 🐴💛 2 1/2ft by 3 1/2ft on gallery wrapped canvas.

Through The Veil

There’s something otherworldly about it — a quiet sense of love that transcends distance, as if two souls are meeting again across the light. 🤍 It reminds me how love and presence can linger — just beyond what we can see, yet always felt. ✨ I hope this original painting brings a sense of peace and wonder to your day 💛

Dressage Show

This is my first painting featuring a person and a horse in a landscape setting 🎨. Those who know me personally might have expected a cow horse or cutter first; however, my initial experience with horses was in English Pleasure while growing up on the East Coast. About 15 years ago, my friend Angie suggested that my two paint mares would excel in dressage, which thrilled me. Angie trained both young mares and showcased them beautifully in Tehachapi. This piece is part of my collection of equine artwork and represents my journey into horse paintings. Acrylic 14x24 framed.

Friendship - capturing connections

Kindred Spirits

This piece of equine artwork was painted from memory, inspired by a neighbor’s pup who used to visit daily and often paused to share a quiet moment with a particular horse. Their simple, unspoken connection stayed with me.

For me, Kindred Spirits is a reminder

that meaningful connections can appear in the most unexpected places.

SIDE BY SIDE

Some horses naturally pair up, finding comfort and security in one another. This painting celebrates those deep bonds—the ones who need the presence of another to feel whole and safe.

Life is full of inspiration

TEX HARMONY

This artwork is rich in texture. A little history - many years ago, I traveled to Fort Worth with friends and our horses to compete at the NRCHA non-pro boxing world show. During our stay, we visited the stockyards, where the longhorns were amazing! Such powerful looking creatures, yet these beautiful animals possessed a gentle demeanor and a sweet softness to them. Ever since that time, I’ve been intrigued by these magnificent animals. This original painting measures 2ft by 3ft on gallery wrapped canvas.

SACRED COMPANIONS - CAPTURING Movement, Intention & PRESENCE

Ethereal

Ethereal is “Step N Out” into a sunlit meadow to meet us. Present and fully engaged, this sacred companion moves toward us—ready to walk, trot, or run alongside us, wherever we are on our journey. 💫 To me, horses have always been more than earthly creatures—they are wise, intuitive, healing spirits. Through Ethereal, I hope you feel the presence of a true companion—not just standing beside you, but moving with you… toward light, healing, and connection 💞 This equine artwork captures the essence of those moments, making it a perfect addition to any collection of horse paintings. Measuring 2 1/2ft by 3 1/2ft on gallery wrapped canvas.

Presence

This 4 ft. by 5 ft. gallery-wrapped canvas showcases a striking palomino equine partner, embodying the grace, beauty, nobility, elegance, and quiet power that define these magnificent animals.

Look At Me

This is one of the most personal and intuitive pieces in my Sacred Companions series of equine artwork. Some horses don’t just walk into a painting… they arrive—fully present, deeply aware. With a soulful gaze and a quiet strength, this palomino companion holds an arched pose that feels both vulnerable and powerful. Look At Me invites you into a moment of deep presence. This golden companion isn’t just seen—he’s felt. Rich textures throughout the canvas add depth and dimension, symbolizing the layered spirit of this companion. I poured my heart into this original painting, and I hope you feel it, too! 2ft by 3ft on gallery wrapped canvas. Lots of texture!

Whispers of Light

This stunning 30in by 40in gallery wrapped canvas features an expressive equine presence in motion. This artwork beautifully captures the essence of horse paintings, making it a perfect addition to any collection of original paintings.

On The Move

One of my favorite methods of creating equine artwork is with a palette knife. It can be freeing to take a blank canvas and start designing a vision, especially when it comes to horse paintings. This method produces texture, movement, and the best imperfections in my original paintings! 2ft by 3ft acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas.

LAND AND SEA

Storm Brewing - Inspired by the hues of turquoise and the raw power of the waves, this seascape contrasts a vivid sea against a moody, ominous sky. Measuring 1ft by 3ft, this gallery wrapped canvas artwork beautifully complements equine artwork and horse paintings, adding a dynamic touch to any collection of original paintings.

Light Over The Horizon - The Shallows showcases stunning equine artwork that captures the beauty of horses. This piece is a perfect example of original paintings that reflect the grace and elegance found in horse paintings.

LIFE IS FULL OF INSPIRATION - First Series

HORSE N AROUND

This painting grew from a moment my husband captured 📸—two of our yearling colts playing in the pasture, full of energy, curiosity, and that carefree spirit only young horses have. They were sparring and dancing with each other, completely lost in their own little world. There was something so genuine in that exchange, and translating it onto canvas felt like honoring that moment. When it was finished, he simply called it “Horse N Around,” and somehow that felt exactly right.

Arrival

This painting was inspired by a quiet, sacred moment—the birth of a new colt from my cow horse, Stormy. There is something almost indescribable about witnessing new life take its first breath, its first unsteady steps, its first awareness of the world.

In those early moments, everything feels suspended in time—fragile, powerful, full of promise. This painting became my way of holding onto that feeling… honoring not just the colt’s beginning, but the strength and devotion of Stormy as she welcomed him into the world.

Silvio

To me, horsewomen share a deep bond-with each other and their horses. This painting honors Silvio, a heart horse lost in 2024. I created it for his owner, and dear friend, hoping to capture his expressive spirit. Though gone, his heart still lives on in her and in this piece.

Series “Women With Horses“

GOLDEN VISION - Three headshot prints available.

Series “Life Is Full Of Inspiration”

After days of rain, the first sunny day brought a chance to move the horses out of their muddy pens. For those who know horses, you’ll understand the excited energy that comes after standing still—arched necks, lively expressions, and pure joy in motion.

Later, in my studio, this moment inspired me. I could immediately see this horse against the abstract background.  18x24 acrylic

Sweetness - Two prints available.

2013 bay roan filly by Sweet Lil Pepto and out of Dolly For Short. At our ranch her barn name was Sweetness ❤️

The Visiting Girls

Series “Life Is Full Of Inspiration”

The visiting girls. This painting was inspired by my neighbors chickens. I really enjoy their frequent visits 🐓❤️ Our horses are entertained by them shuffling around looking for bugs. Those chickens must feel so important 😂 I come out of the house just to watch them and the horses stretch their necks over the fence to get a better look. Love my neighbors and their beautiful girls ❤️🐓❤️🐓

I See You - One print available

16x20 acrylic

This was my first horse on canvas, and it’s evolved from its beginnings. I wanted something powerful—

something that wouldn’t just be looked at, but that would look back.

I sought connection and wild spirit, so I focused on the eye and the flowing mane.

“I See You” isn’t about being seen by others—it’s about Being seen, movement, and connection.

Looking back, this first horse marks the beginning of a journey ❤️🐴

CAPTIVATING – Three print available.

This horse turned around pausing to watch delicate butterflies flutter by. I chose to include the butterflies because I love their symbolism—transformation, freedom, and the quiet moments that invite wonder.

Emerge

2022 16X20 acrylic painting - Series “Life Is full of Inspiration” - Two Prints available

The Story Behind the Painting - in 2021 I visited a special person who has an outstanding butterfly garden and she raises them to release. As it happened during my visit a couple of them were ready to hatch. As we watched one emerge from its chrysalis, I videotaped. At one point my friend was a bit concerned mentioning I hope her wings are okay. She explained to me that if their wings are deformed or crumpled and don't unfold perfectly they are unable to fly. So when this butterfly continued to struggle to unfold by moving back and forth we were both hopeful.

Eventually with time her wings were dry and stretched out, she began flapping them, so her wings appeared to be working properly.

My friend opened the panel to release her and we both watched with anticipation! To our excitement this beautiful butterfly flew around the backyard enjoying all the amazing flowers that my friend had nurtured for her.

Moral of this story...If you feel broken-give it some time, try again and again. Eventually you will fly.
