WOMEN WITH HORSES

Through my art and storytelling, I express a deep love for nature and its awe-inspiring beauty. Rooted in the traditions of Western art, my work captures the spirit of horses, cattle, expansive landscapes, and the enduring presence of cowboys and cowgirls.

My current series, Women With Horses, celebrates the empowering bond between women and these magnificent animals—an intimate connection that embodies trust, strength, grace, and freedom. Ultimately, my goal is to honor the enduring bond between horses and humans, and to reflect the timeless beauty they bring into our lives.

Webster defines a horsewoman as a woman who rides, drives, or manages horses. But to me it’s a family of women who have so much in common no matter what their background or beliefs are. They have an unspoken bond with each other, a sisterhood and understand the connection with horses. Most of the horsewomen in my circle have or had a heart horse where mutual respect and trust made the difference.

This is my first painting combining a person, and horse in a landscape setting 🎨 those that know me personally most likely expected a cow horse or cutter first however my first experience with horses was English Pleasure while growing up on the East Coast.
